Another blast from my past to convince myself to write a comic now.

Here is one of my poorly-voiced early television reports for News on Q featuring Wonder Girl Filipino-Canadian writer J. Torres and Lola artist Elbert Or. My voiceover sucked in comparison to the Canadian accent of Torres and the Atenean alum Or. Hehe. Anyway, Torres told me that an aspiring writer should stop aspiring and start writing, while Or told me off-cam that artists like him should have a thick skin to do some cold calls to publishers and potential collaborators.

Interviewing Komikon 2008 organizers Lei Muncal and Lyndon Gregorio

Here is a television feature on Komikon 2008 that I produced for News on Q. This is the first time that I met Trese creator Budjette Tan, Callwork's Hazel Manzano and Beerkada and convention organizer Lyndon Gregorio. The main point of the report was to show that Trese and Callwork comics were published on blogs before getting a mainstream publisher. I remember that I left the venue, the UP Bahay ng Alumni, soaking with sweat because of droves of fans that flooded the building.

Hmm. Should I create my own comic now?
